Volunteers
We are currently looking for volunteers to expand our BotsForFun program to more library locations.
If you are a high school student who is interested in volunteering for our robotics program, please choose which volunteering position you would like and fill out the form below.
Volunteering Positions
Instructor
Purpose: You will teach the students to program robots using NXT software.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Come to the session early and setup tables/chairs as necessary.
Teach students how to use the software to program the robots.
Supervise students while they are doing their work.
Clean up room, fold tables/chairs as necessary.
Qualifications:
Interested in Lego Robotics.
Love working with young kids.
Committed to BotsForFun program for at least one session (one day a week for six weeks).
Commitment:
2-3 hours a week, including 1.5 hour of class time

Assistant Instructor
Purpose: You would help the students learn Lego programming concepts and techniques and supervise students as they create their programs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Come to the session a few minutes early and setup table/chairs as necessary.
Help the students master skills.
Supervise students while they are doing their work.
Clean up room, fold table/chairs as necessary.
Qualifications:
Interested in Lego Robotics.
Love working with young kids.
Committed to BotsForFun program for at least one session (one day a week for six weeks).
Commitment:
2-3 hours a week, including 1.5 hour of class time
